  • I remember the snack of the ’60s: bread, butter and sugar. Even today nobody knows it, but I assure you that I let test a smallslice of it to ones who did not want to eat anything and have a mustache licked;
  • I remember the first car journeys, the curiosity in the unknown landscapes, the multitude of billboards that were read, the race to guess the car license plates, today young people travel with headphones and closed eyes or on the mobile phone: how much they are loosing!
  • I remember the death of my brother in a hospital bed at dawn: a tear dropped from his closed eyes, an experience that destroys you at the moment but gives you an incredible strength to go on.

M.C. from Italy

Sharing Europe from Florence started to collect memories from local citizens interested in the project activities. We asked participants to “write a message in a bottle” for the future, by sharing a relevant story for them.

Original version [Italian]

  • Ricordo la merenda degli anni ’60: pane, burro e zucchero. Già oggi nessuno la conosce, ma vi assicuro che l’ho fatta provare a dei piccoli viziatissimi che non volevano mangiare nulla e si sono leccati i baffi;
